Re: Level Setting: sitting 4-1 .. I'll take it, but ....

There may be a factor that absolutely no one is taking into account with regards to this entire QB discussion, and I understand why because as fans we are geared towards the absolute win now mentality. Perhaps Davis is being given this shot because the coaching staff was never banking on this season...

Re: Level Setting: sitting 4-1 .. I'll take it, but ....

My point is more to fourthandshort who preaches every week that he wants Kolbe to play. The fact of the matter is that Davis beat out Kolbe for the starting position and the coaching staff wants to stick with him. Has Davis thrown a pick yet? No. Is there room for improvement? Absolutely. I’m just ...

Really happy to see the forecast has shifted. It made it much easier to convince the wife to buy the Touchdown Terrace tickets this morning. See you all at Hancock!
Make sure you say hello!
Planning on stopping by Cindygate for sure. You can't miss me. I am a rather large individual.

We are currently debating on making the trip this weekend too, but it's going to be a game day decision at this point. Neither the wife, nor daughter, would be up for sitting through a rainstorm. Cara and I came to the NDSU game last year, and she was an awesome sport about it as we stayed for the ...

After some googling it looks like they are GPS/player trackers. Those things can output some great info and help track recovery or track total distance ran, top speed etc.
After talking to one of the players, they are simply weight vests that they use for practices.

Re: ISU vs CSU Game time!!

I watched a replay of the game last night and I think the coaches will enjoy watching the film as well because it's NOT that good. Coach Spack can smile with a 16 pt. win over a FBS program but there will be plenty to work on this week because lots of opportunities were missed. Davis was under 50% ...

Re: Spack Show

I don't know if the altitude at NAU had all that much to do with it. As I recall our biggest problem was their QB throwing a lot of really good passes. Who knows for sure, but the defense came out very strong that game. We had their QB and entire offense rattled: - first 6 drives: 27 plays for 22 t...

Re: Redbird Basketball Interviews

We were talking to Matt last year after the Indiana State game in Terre Haute and my daughter was hesitant to talk to him. We told her, just go over and ask him if he would take a picture with you, he's a nice guy. He overheard us tell her that, looked at her and said, "Yeah, I think I'm a nice guy...

That's actually a pretty low line considering FCS v FBS. Home field is worth 3 points alone. Interesting.

Not sure which of the 3 threads to throw this in so I just decided to put it here since it had a little news on how CSU has altered their practice schedule this week and a couple of their injury notes.

Re: EIU game comments

Did I read that Brady Davis looked like a "Project"? Dude threw for 300+ yards and scored 5 TD against a mid level D-1 FCS opponent in his first "Real" FCS game. I will be the first to eat crow on Kolbe being bumped. Davis is on another level and you can tell his WR are excited to play for him. I h...

Re: Here we go again...

To save you all the research, Boogie was arrested for domestic battery, the charge was dropped and he pled to disorderly conduct and got court supervision. This was a 2017 case. That one really shocked me. Boogie seems like one of the most polite and decent people on the team, but that just shows I...

What are they doing...releasing one team/week?
Maybe by the end of the season, we’ll know what our preseason ranking is?
They must think it takes 1 full day to digest their Phil Steele-like cornucopia of basketball knowledge on each team.

Re: Early workouts

After watching the hudl film on him, all those comments kind of seem to add up to Davis being the guy if he proves himself in practice. It may not be game 1, but it wouldn't surprise me if he surpasses Kolbe just based on the big arm ability.

Re: Birds Picked 5th in Preseason Poll

Coprich's production boom had EVERYTHING to do with #5 handing him the ball. Tre Roberson might end up going down as the most effective QB in ISU history when all things are said and done. A rocket launcher on his shoulder, a good decision maker, excellent field vision, but then you add the legs. D...

Re: A New Way to End Games

I don't know if you guys have watched Big 3 but they have 1 concept that I wouldn't mind seeing adopted because it'd pick up the general pace of the game, especially down the stretch. Instead of 1 and 1, or 2 shots, for free throws any time a guy is fouled in the act of shooting or after a specific ...
