Lyons will keep his job and we will be playing on Thursday again.
What odds do you give this? I'll bet the Birds won't be playing on Thursday night in the MVC Tournament in 2020.
And if they are....

Re: Jefferson Transferring

Interest from Albany, Colorado State, Nevada, Washington State. He'll also visit Wisconsin-Green Bay on Wednesday. I wonder if he'll get any sort of waiver or just be sit 1 play 1. It'd be hard to believe he would get a waiver, but I can't be surprised with anything the NCAA does. Everyone of those...

personally, i'd be surprised if he leaves. https://twitter.com/NickSchultz_7/status/1118144769253883905 Me too. At Loyola he can do whatever he wants for years with no pressure on him. He has already taken them to the mountain. At St. John's he will be under attack from the jump. If he doesn't get ...

Stats first 11 games (through Ole Miss) 29 min per game 47 -101 fg 46.% 35-72 3pt fg 48.6% 13.3 points per game Starting Cleveland St there was a dramatic decline in all offensive categories. Re: Jefferson Transferring

Geez if you watch our highlights you'd think we were an NCAA team. This is why i don't get hyped on recruits anymore... anybody can make anybody... look good. Coaches sometimes get lax and don't see kids play enough IN PERSON in a truly competitive stakes-on-the-line environment. In particular, hea...

Re: NCAA, refs, missed calls, overturning calls

IMO, it’s time to let players decide the outcome of games again. Every year seems to bring an increase in controversial calls/replays that determine the National Champion. I won my bracket pool with Virginia as my champ, so no sour grapes here. I’m willing to accept human error. Since I know that w...

Re: Jefferson Transferring

The problem with this +/- stat - it can become skewed for bench players - with a lot less minutes played. Is there really anyone who believes that if Hein had his minutes doubled, that would have contributed to more wins because of his +/-? He had a role - he played hard and gave everything he had ...

Re: College Basketball Coaching Carousel

Vandy hires Jerry Stackhouse. Muller obviously a close 2nd choice. So the new move is to hire former NBA players with "some" asst coaching experience at the NBA or AAU level . . . interesting to see how these experiments work out. I'm guessing on name alone he's going to recruit really good players...

And it’s no secret that a fair amount of the Redbird faithful cannot stand gregggggy. And consensus here seems to say that Dan is a great guy.

Question #1 Who would you like as your next door neighbor?

Question #2 Who would you like as your head coach?
Q#1 - Kate Upton
Q#2 - Izzo

Re: Gassman

He has earned a scholarship in my opinion. Hope that happens and he stays. He’s a solid contributor and has the type of character this team needs. 3.8 points a game in what, 16 games? No offense, I’m sure he’s a great kid and I wish him well, but we need hard-nosed players who “bring it” all night,...

Re: Elgin on MVC Scheduling

Play anyone , anywhere, without expectation of a home game in return. Nobody that wants to see this program take the next step should give a shit about 99% of the non-con teams we play. That's a good model. Reads like Chicago State. Call us the Normal Barnstormers. Shutdown Redbird Arena until the ...

I don’t like Pearl and think he’s a phony. However, when you look at that region. You have UNC that systematically cheated academically for years. Calapari with 2 vacated final fours, and Sampson that had a show cause. Hard to pick a school without issues there. I always love the Illini hate of Pea...

Re: Muller seeks to restore 'toughness, effort'

All I'm saying is lets not crown Dana national coach of the year yet for having a winning season and signing a four star recruit. The hyperbole around here is at an all time high. Perhaps the hyperbole is at an all time high because the frustration level is nearing an all time high. Seven years ago...

Re: Muller seeks to restore 'toughness, effort'

I don't blame people for being pissed about Redbird basketball, this NCAA drought is entirely too long. I'm not in the "fire Muller" camp but I understand why some are. HCDM was 17-1 in conference just 2 years ago and was COY, he didn't just forget how to coach. Yes, he recruited the wrong kids for...

no matter which way Dan goes he will get criticized on this board.
That's a given.
When he makes the NCAA, the criticism will stop. It's that easy. Just ask Bradley.
